countryside views it is only ten minutes from the historic
old town of  St Jean d'Angély. The distillery tours and fascinating
architecture of Cognac are only 30 minutes away, and
Saintes' impressive Roman triumphal arch and amphitheatre are even
closer. La Rochelle's beautiful harbour is within easy reach and the
seemingly endless beaches of the Cote Sauvage
are only about an hour away.

Charente Maritime is the second sunniest part of France. Summers are usually
hot and dry and Spring and Autumn can also be beautiful.
